Mystery of the Resurrection
How did the Lord Christ conquer this world, how did Christianity conquer this world? You know that in the beginning of Christianity the great and powerful Roman Empire persecuted Christians everywhere for 330 years. They did not defend themselves with guns and airplanes, no! They defended themselves through prayer and God’s help. And for 330 years they turned wolves into sheep. Recall the Savior’s words to His disciples: Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves (Mt 10:16). A great miracle took place, brethren: the wolves were turned into sheep, and the wolves did not devour the sheep, did not tear up and destroy them. What is this? What is this power? This is that power about which you heard today in the words of the Apostle Peter, when he says to Aeneas: Arise, and he immediately rises (Acts 9:34); and when he says to Tabitha: Arise, and she rises from the dead as from sleep (Acts 9:40). What is this, what happened to this world? A great mystery has been explained, the mystery of this world and the mystery of man. What does the Lord Christ’s Resurrection demonstrate? It demonstrates that man is an eternal being. Death is defeated – that is what the Lord Christ’s Resurrection means. Life Eternal is provided for all human existence. It was for this that the Lord came to this world.
St. Justin of Chelije
Objašnjava se velika tajna, tajna ovoga sveta i tajna čoveka. Vaskrsenje Gospoda Hrista, šta pokazuje? Pokazuje da je čovek večno biće. Smrt je pobeđena – to znači Vaskrsenje Gospoda Hrista. I Život Večni osiguran svakome ljudskome biću.

Lessons from Fr. Thaddeus
Repentance is a change of life. А man has to go to a priest or his neighbor and tell him what disturbs his peace. As soon as our neighbors are participate in our suffering, we gain comfort and strength.
If we turn to the Source of Life, the Lord will give us strength to strengthen in ourselves thoughts full of good, as good thoughts, good wishes, give peace and comfort to all. We have to change (in our thoughts).
Our thoughts affect not only us, but all that surround us. We have to project good thoughts. The Lord commands us to love our enemies, not because of them, but for ourselves. We need to forgive all from the heart. When we forgive all from the heart, all is forgiven. We then are participants in peace, then peace brings joy and comfort to those around us. All persons feel our thoughts as peaceful, quiet.
Pouke oca Tadeja
Čim naši bližnji saučestvuju u našem stradanju mi dobijamo utehu i snagu.
Mi smo (tada) saučesnici mira, tada mir čini radost i utehu svima oko nas. Svi osećaju naše misli mirne, tihe.

Christ is risen! — Indeed he is risen!
On the Wednesday of the Paralytic, we celebrate the Feast of Mid-Pentecost.
The Feast of Pascha continues to be celebra-ted. The Crucifixion and the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ deserve believers’ daily attention. Believers find meaning for their lives in the Crucifixion and Resurrection.
Believers benefit from the Resurrected Christ to the degree they are willing to invest in drawing near to Christ. Drawing near to Christ involves constancy of prayer and attention. Diversions exist which are perilous to the inattentive soul.
The Lord Jesus Christ promised the coming of the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ said: “The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things…”(Jn.14:26)
Each day God’s Holy Church moves closer to the Feast of Pentecost and the celebration of the Descent of the Holy Spirit. Each day carries with it the potential for the fullness of the life with God.
Believers do well to devote as much time as possible each day to prayer and mental consideration of being with God..
Praying to Christ continuously combats sin. Purity of heart and mind comes with the continued presence of Christ in the heart and mind. Weakening of vigilance against sin leads to destruction and away from the Kingdom of God.
During this time of Paschal celebration, rejoice and contemplate the defeat of death and the meaning of the Empty Tomb. Look forward with great anticipation to the arrival of the Feast of Pentecost.
Give thanks to the Crucified and Resurrected Christ. Give thanks to God for the innumerable blessings each day. Give thanks to God for the love manifested by Christ on the Cross and Christ arising from the grave.
